another blast from the past …
unglazed ceramic slipcast shells (maquette made from bending wooden strips around a central core) - in boxes cut from sheet acrylic. originally 9 boxes arranged in 3 x 3 configuration or displayed in a vertical stack or any modular construction.
now only 8 as i took one out of its box!
found this in the loft after a clear out, made it for my degree show in 1977 …ouch!
stoneware sprayed ash glaze, thrown porcelain ‘bomb’ shape on a handmade t’material cut base, complete shape totally enclosed.
those were the days of ‘brown’ pots.
usual terracolor glazes as before with a ‘drippy glaze on the bottom edge’ caused by too much oxide-mix over reactive red.

terracolor earthenware brush glazes:- cobalt blue base, reactive mars moons (red) & bird of paradise (yellow) with oxide mix (light blue).
terracolor reactive glaze: bird of paradise with added inclusions.
